701-E Spessartine Garnet and Smoky Quartz / 4 Crones

These gemmy Garnets are known as Spessartine Red Garnets they encrust and surround beautiful Smoky Quartz crystals on microcline feldspar matrices.  The mine is located in Tongbei Village, Yunxiao Co., Fujian Province China where these specimens come from and are known for the beautiful blingy red and orange-colored garnets that they yield.

Garnets come in several different species, and each holds different metaphysical properties.  The Spessartine Garnet is one of the rarer varieties and is sometimes called the Garnet of the Sun. Spessartine is known to activate the analytical processes of the mind.  It also promotes confidence in making life changes and helps to alleviate fears when on this path.  It is associated with the Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras. Smoky Quartz links strongly to the earth for grounding and is associated with the Root Chakra. It helps to release tension, stress, and anxiety and ward off negative thinking.
